Bridget McCaffrey, daughter of James McCaffrey and Mary McNally, was born around 1855. She married Daniel Gormley in 1873 and lived in East Aghindarragh. Daniel is also known as Denis, Diney, or Dionysius (1855-1948). Daniel is the son of Bernard Gormley and Eleanor Campbell.
Brigid’s birth certificate has not been found however one can assume that she was around 20 years old when she married. Her marriage certificate indicates that she was 22. Census data indicates that she was 4o years old in 1901.
